Description
Garth-fach is a building with whitewashed stonework and slate roofs. The northwest wall has been rebuilt in brick made by the Park Brick Company of Newtown. Originally one storey and attic, it was later raised to two full storeys. The central entrance features a four-panelled door, with the upper panels glazed, set within a moulded frame. The building has sliding sash paned windows, one of which was replaced around 1940.
Inside, a straight flight of stairs rises from the front door, which may have replaced an earlier entrance located against the principal gable stack. The interior includes chamfered spine beams with ogee stops. At the rear, a service room that once contained a large stack and a well in the corner is separated from the front range by a timber-framed wall.
