Description
Sychnant Presbyterian Church and vestry is a long building featuring unpainted stucco, with the right end hung with slate. It has a slate eaves roof and a red and yellow brick chimney located at the left end. The chapel occupies about two-thirds of the facade on the right side and includes two large 30-pane sash windows and two doors, all framed with plain raised surrounds. There are pilaster strips on each side, which are inlaid with dry-dash.
The vestry on the left has a similar pilaster at the angle, a small pair of small-paned casement windows above the ground floor door, and a larger pair of casement windows, all with raised surrounds. The end wall features a pair of small-paned casement windows on each floor to the left. At the rear, there are two horned 16-pane windows that light the chapel, positioned to the left.
Inside, the church has a simple design with pale painted graining on the box pews, which are arranged in three blocks. The pews are raked with ramped ends, panelled backs, and panelled doors. There is a similar panelled and grained three-sided set fawr enclosure with two pews on each side facing the pulpit. The side pews have high panelled backs that act as draught screens against the doors. The pulpit, which is also painted and panelled, features canted corners and a simple moulded cornice, with a door on the right side. The ceiling is plastered and has two bays with a three-sided design, including a central truss that is also plastered over a beam.
