Description
Talarau is a 2-storey house featuring three windows, constructed from rubble stone. The front has a slate roof, while the rear slope and wing are covered with corrugated asbestos-cement. Stone stacks are located at the right end and the rear wing, with the openings offset to the right. A central lean-to wooden porch includes a half-glazed door. The windows are positioned under original stone segmental heads on the lower storey and upper right, and under original lintels in the upper centre and left, featuring early 20th-century small-pane casements with sills. The rear wing connects with the right gable end and has replacement doors and windows. In the gable end, where the ground level is higher, there is a ribbed door leading to the upper storey.
Although not inspected, a survey by RCAHM Wales noted filleted stops on the ceiling beams and crucks that have been re-used as roof trusses.
