Description
Upper Talbot Cottage is a two-storey house built from large locally made bricks arranged in English garden-wall bond, with a slate roof. The structure features a living-kitchen and an inner bay, along with a stable and loft that appear to be built at the same time. The front has a boarded door set in a heavy frame, and the ground floor includes sash windows with six unequal panes, all having cambered brick heads above the openings. The upper floor has 4-pane casement windows. The stable, located at a lower level, has a boarded stable door. There is also a secondary door to the house on the gable end beside the stack, indicating that the brickwork may have been remodeled. The gable end features ventilated brickwork and a pitching door leading to the loft, along with a large gable stack. The property was not accessible at the time of inspection.
