Description
No 1 Chapel Place is a two-storey house built of red brick in garden-wall bond, featuring a band of black brick and nogged brick eaves. The slate roof is complemented by a red brick stack at the left end, which has two raised black brick bands. The front facade has two bays, each with a pair of cambered-headed 9-pane horned sash windows above, which include some black bricks in their heads and stone sills. These windows are not aligned with a small renewed canted oriel window in the center, which has a configuration of 2-4-2 panes, and a doorway to the extreme right. The doorway features a cambered head with some black bricks and a 6-panel door. The left end wall is slate-hung and has a window on each floor, as well as one in the attic, all positioned to the left. There is also a rear wing that is slate-hung. The narrow west end has a brick stack and a pair of casement windows on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
