Description
Penymynydd is a house constructed of red brick laid in Flemish bond, topped with a slate roof and featuring dentilled brick eaves. It stands two storeys tall and appears to have been built in two parts, each consisting of three bays, although the original house is much broader, with a visible brick joint between the sections.
The main part of the house includes brick end wall stacks and three flat-headed square casement-pair windows with iron opening lights above. There are also long cambered-headed windows on each side of a taller flat-headed doorway. The windows have six panes and iron opening lights, while the doorway features a new six-panel door and a small-paned eight-pane overlight.
The right addition has similar outer casement pairs on the first floor, a blind window in the center, and a longer cambered-headed window on the ground floor to the left with a six-pane casement pair. There is no opening in the center (though an old photograph shows a door there) and a short window with a cambered brick head on the right. The right end wall is constructed of rubble stone.
The interior has not been inspected.
