Description
Mill House is a 2-storey brick building that has been whitewashed, with some evidence of timber framing visible on the rear, northern elevation at the first floor. It features a slate roof with three brick stacks. The front, or south elevation, has four windows. On the ground floor, there are two 16-pane sash windows with black-painted architraves and lintels, along with a modern window on the far right. The doorcase is adorned with carved consoles. The first floor also has four 16-pane sash windows with black-painted architraves and lintels. There are two brick gable stacks and a third stack that is off-centre. The rear elevation is also 2-storeys high, featuring two 16-pane windows on the ground floor. The first floor retains box timber framing and has two 12-pane horizontal sliding sash windows, along with a late 20th-century lean-to porch.
The building retains its original plan form. Inside, there is a stone flagged floor in the staircase hall, a staircase with simple stick balusters, an early 19th-century fireplace and grate, and a stopped and chamfered beam in the ceiling. The kitchen shows evidence of a previous range.
