Description

The dovecote at Erbistock Hall is a free-standing circular structure built from hand-made red bricks arranged in Flemish bond, featuring a slightly projecting brick string course. It has a conical slate roof topped with a domed wooden cupola and a weather-vane that is dated 1737. Access is provided through a single doorway that has a stone lintel with keystone detail and a wooden door. There are two oval window openings that are lined with stone.

It is said to contain 700 pigeon nesting recesses, although a full inspection was not conducted during the 1994 resurvey.
