Description
Erbistock Hall is a 2-storey building constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, featuring a red sandstone plinth and a string course at the first-floor level. The windows, which have 12 and 15 panes, include keystones, and the roof is covered with renewed slate. To the right, there is a projecting single-storey rusticated red sandstone doorway with a keystone that is said to have originally displayed the carved date of 1720. Adjacent to this is a 2-storey pedimented cross-wing on the right, which has rusticated quoins made of red sandstone. The ground floor of this wing has two large 19th-century windows, while the first floor features two 12-pane sash windows. The right-hand elevation has been significantly altered, with 20th-century windows and various building phases from the late 19th and 20th centuries. Inside, there are 6-panel doors and a staircase with a cut-string and spiral turned balusters, three per tread. A full inspection was not conducted during the 1994 resurvey.
