Description
Cae'n-y-coed features a farm outbuilding constructed from axe-dressed local gritstone, topped with a slate roof and tile ridge. The building is positioned parallel to the slope, with a single-storey elevation on the west side and a two-storey elevation on the east and north sides. There is a small extension on the east side that continues under the main roof. The lower section serves as a cowhouse, with storage and a hayloft above. The range originally extended further south, but that portion has since collapsed.
On the west side, there is a frameless window opening and a heck door to the left, along with a wide boarded shed door next to a window on the right. The north gable end features a window above a door. On the east side, there is a cowhouse door to the right and a wide opening to the left, with the left bay being in a ruinous state.
