Description
Trawscoed Cottage is a timber-framed building dating from the 18th century, featuring rendered infill panels set on stone footings. The west gable end is hung with slate, and the cottage has a slate roof. It is a single storey with an attic and follows a Type C plan, with a door located opposite the stack that contains a fireplace in the central bay. The entrance features a boarded door, and there are timber casement windows along with a small pentice dormer on the south side of the central bay. The end truss includes a collar with queen struts and a single tier of purlins. The framing is marked for assembly with a gouge, and there are chamfered spine beams. Additionally, there is a timber-framed wall in the inner room at the west end.
