Description
Trawscoed House is a 19th-century building constructed of colourwashed brick, with slate hung on the west gable end and a double-spanned hipped slate roof. It stands three storeys tall and has three bays, featuring a double pile plan that includes a central stair hall and service rooms at the rear.
The centre bay is slightly set forward and gabled, showcasing a six-panelled door within a slender, tall gothic-panelled doorcase that has a radial fanlight and a flat canopy. The ground and first floors feature Venetian windows with 15 panes on the ground floor, which have shutters, and 12 panes on the first floor. The second floor has round-headed windows, all fitted with rendered lintels and arches. The eaves are detailed with brick cogging and dentilling. The west gable is randomly slated, while the rear elevation is made of stone rubble and also colourwashed. The window openings at the rear have segmental arches, and there is a small glazed porch that has been added. To the left, there is a single-storey slated rubble stone extension that connects to Calcott House.
Inside, there is a through hall with panelled doors leading to reception rooms on either side, and a stairway at the rear.
