Description
Stone and timber framed with colourwashed infill panels, and part uncoursed stone; random slate roof. The framing is close studded with corner braces, and decorative angled bracing in the front gable. Timber boarded door with small light, and timber 3-light casement windows. The stone section to the right has camber headed 3-light transomed casements.
Interior of wing has a front parlour with a large brick stack with 4 flues, probably C18. Chamfered cross beam with check and scoop stops. The rear wall is also framed, the rear chamber extended C20 to rear and now without historic features. Main posts not jowled. Roof has single tier of purlins and principal rafters crossed at apex and tenoned ridge piece. Stone building also has a single tier of purlins made of re-used timber morticed for windbraces.
