Description
Severn View is a 2-storey building with roughcast main elevations, a slate roof, stock brick end chimney stacks, and modillion bracket eaves. It features horned sash windows with marginal glazing bars and a stone plinth with a slate band. The main front has offset right-hand windows that are tripartite. The entrance is located on the left side, with two windows on the gable end and twinned sash openings to the attached one-window cross range. A notable feature of this building is the Greek Doric porch, which includes complete detailing and a 6-panel door. On the right side, the upper part is slate hung and has an unusually tall small pane sash stairwell window above a camber-headed basement opening, with three windows to the right in the attached cross range. The rear is painted brick with a lean-to and extension. Inside, there is stained glass in the inner doors, a ceiling rose in the hall, panelled doors, arched openings, and the original staircase.
