Description

Woodview is a two-storey building with a symmetrical southwest front, constructed in painted roughcast and topped with a composition slate roof featuring brick end stacks. The first floor has two 9-pane hornless sash windows with cambered heads and thin stone sills. The ground floor features a central 20th-century gabled porch with glazed upper panels and a 19th-century four-panel entrance door. On either side of the porch are canted bay windows, each with monopitch slate roofs and 2+4+2 pane sashes. On the northwest gable, there is a first-floor 2-pane sash window with a thin stone sill.

Inside, the principal ground floor rooms include a back kitchen and a service room. The ground floor rooms are fitted with 19th-century four-panel doors. The staircase features a quarter turn with landings, beaded square newel posts with pyramid caps, and a beaded handrail. The southeast bedroom on the first floor retains a good c1800 'forest' pattern hob grate.
