Description
21 High Street is a two-storey brick building featuring a steep slate roof with gable end stacks. The front has a four-window range, and the ground floor shows signs of an earlier structure, including an exposed sill beam, corner post, and rail. There are paired central doorways framed by early 19th-century architraves, which include cusped panelling in the entablature and a shallow cornice hood. The doors are six-panelled and accessed by steps with central plain cast iron railings. The flanking windows are 16-pane sashes, while the upper windows are flush-framed 12-pane sashes with cambered brick heads and a plain sill band. The roof features two 2-light dormer windows with shallow leaded roofs. At the rear, there is a row of tall camber-headed windows, which are cast-iron casement windows with transoms.
