Description

4 Chapel Street is a two-storey brick building with a slate roof and end wall stacks. It features a three-window range with a central entrance. The entrance has a fielded panelled door with a traceried fanlight that is recessed with panelled rebates, and it is framed by an outer Ionic pedimented case. On either side of the entrance are canted bay windows with 4-pane sashes and a beaded cornice. The upper windows are also sash windows, which were formerly 16-pane but have had most of their glazing bars removed from the lower lights. These windows have painted stone sills and flat arched heads. The roof is topped with a moulded parapet. At the rear, there is a small projecting wing that houses the staircase.
