Description
The Commercial Public House is a 19th-century building constructed of painted brick with a slate roof. It stands three storeys high and features a three-window range, with the entrance located to the left of centre. The entrance consists of a four-panelled doorway set within a moulded wood architrave, which is supported by console brackets leading to an entablature. To the right of the entrance are paired windows, while a single window is situated to the left. The original windows were 12-pane sashes, but the glazing bars have been removed from the lower lights. There is a round arched passage entry to the right of the building. The upper windows are 12-pane sashes, with a wider 16-pane sash located above the entrance, and six shorter 8-pane sashes in the upper storey. All windows are topped with painted flat arched stone heads. The building has a plain wood eaves band and two axial stacks on its hipped roof.
