Description

2 The Crescent is a three-storey building with a shallow curving front, constructed in the 19th century. It features painted Flemish bond brickwork and a gently pitched new slate roof, complemented by a saw-toothed eaves cornice and a brick stack. The building has six-pane sash windows on the second and first floors, while the ground floor boasts a tripartite sash window. The brickwork includes gauged brick voussoirs that are slightly cambered, with plain reveals and stone sills. The cellar openings are topped with cambered header arches. The plain doorcases are offset to the right and supported by bulbous brackets beneath a gabled hood, which has a rectangular fan above. The entrance has a modern door.
