54 & 55 Commercial Street, Penygloddfa, Newtown

3 storey and cellar, one window Flemish bond brick pair (formerly back to backs). Medium pitch slate roof lead ridge. Saw toothed eaves cornice. Brick stacks, caps modern. Central tier of dummy windows. Shallow upper sash to 12 pane 2nd floor windows. 16 pane sashes to 1st and ground floor windows. Plain reveals, stone sills, gauged brick voussoirs. Cambered header arches to cellar openings below ground floor windows. Doorcases with crude gabled hoods on brackets. Modern door to No 54. No 55 doorway converted to window with access from adjoining carriage entry.
