Description

This is a mid-19th century L-plan farm range located to the north of the Bryn, possibly involving the refacing of an earlier house. The building is two storeys high, constructed of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof that is half-hipped to the right. It features a tall brick stack at the left end and a rear lateral stack. There is a brick and slate lean-to that serves as a wash-house at the right-hand end. The windows are arranged in an orderly fashion, with ground-floor openings under cambered voussoir heads, all chamfered, and transomed frames with iron-bar glazing and a central opening casement. The first-floor windows consist of three-light iron casements with chamfered frames. The front door is panelled and is sheltered by a hipped slated porch canopy supported by chamfered posts.

The outbuildings include an L-plan range, 25 meters north of the farmhouse, which incorporates a four-bay barn and a lofted cowhouse. These structures have high rubble base walls, with stud framework uppers that are weatherboarded, and roofs made of slate and corrugated iron. They are contemporary with the farmhouse.

The interior features a single-pile plan with central stairs positioned between the parlour and kitchen. The end bay contains back-stairs and a dairy with two salting slabs. The kitchen and dairy ends have scroll-stopped beams, while the parlour has a straight-cut stopped beam. The floors are made of flagstone, and the doors are boarded with strap hinges.
