Description
Station House is an early 18th-century building that stands two storeys high and is constructed from coursed rubble stone, which has been overpainted on the front. It features a three-course platt band and flat voussoir lintels above all openings. The roof is slate, with a brick stack at one end. At the rear, there is a single-storey gabled wing made of rubble and slate, which used to serve as a scullery. The front door is boarded and dates from the 19th century, while the windows are 19th-century three-light iron casements set in chamfered timber frames. A central blind panel is shared with No 10.
Inside, there is an open fireplace with raked rubble jambs and a chamfered timber lintel that has a step stop. An adjoining alcove cupboard is part-panelled and part-boarded. The ceiling features chamfered beams and remnants of a moulded cornice.
