Description
The former station building at New Radnor is a single-storey structure made of coursed rock-faced rubble blocks, featuring a high plinth and a lean-to at the east end that houses a lavatory. The building has a slate roof adorned with ridge cresting, decorative pierced bargeboards, and eaves boards, along with a brick stack at one end.
On the platform side, there is a tall central entry with framed, plank double doors. This is flanked by tall windows with a cross pattern, which are deep-set with stone cills and cambered heads. There are two similar windows located at the rear of the building, and a boarded door with a cambered head leads to the lean-to section.
Inside, the building comprises two rooms: a waiting room that features a hooped cast-iron fireplace, and a boarded partition that separates it from the booking office, which includes a ticket window.
