Description

9 & White House is a two-storey building with a shallow U-shaped plan facing the street. It features a timber frame with rendered and stucco exteriors, and the right-hand wing has quoins. The roofs are steeply pitched with slate, including a mid-roof brick stack, and the rear pitch is covered with stone slabs. The left range has plain bargeboards, while the right has cusped bargeboards. The front has four windows of various sizes with sash designs, a solid mid-19th century ground floor bay, and a recessed arched entry that includes a studded wall inside to the left. There are two four-panel doors in the centre, each with hoods supported by brackets, and a railed forecourt. At the rear of No 9, there is a long two-storey extension made of slate and rubble. Additionally, there is a second low two-storey timber-framed extension featuring a stone slab roof and painted brick infill.
