Description
This building is a Victorian Romanesque bookshop, featuring a three-storey design constructed from patterned brick and set into the slope of the street. It has a slate roof with a gable parapet that includes a finial and a brick stack. The façade showcases light banded polychrome decoration around the window arches, dark brick hoodmouldings, and yellow brick quoins. On the second floor, there are two semi-circular-headed sash windows with glazing bars flanking a higher blind arch. Below, a saw-toothed cornice adds detail. The first floor features three semi-circular-headed windows adorned with pilasters, nook shafts, and flat foliage detail, along with a cill band. The shop front is flush and includes a dentilled cornice at the entablature, with triple semi-circular-headed lights and a recessed entrance on the left side.
