Description
12 Severn Street is a building likely constructed around 1850, although some details on the facade may indicate later alterations. It features a painted brick exterior and a slate roof with a gable end stack. The building is two storeys tall and has a four-window range, which includes a segmentally arched carriage entry on the left side. The house is symmetrically designed, with a central entrance that has a moulded architrave surrounding a four-panelled door. The windows on either side of the entrance are segmentally arched tripartite small-paned sashes, each with stressed architraves and bracketed sills. There is a string course above the ground floor and a continuous sill band on the first floor, which is bracketed at the windows. All the first-floor windows are 12-pane sashes set within moulded architraves. The building also features a coved eaves cornice.
