Description
Quinta Cottage is a small house, likely built in the mid-17th century, with some later alterations. The front elevation is timber framed, while the side wall and rear are constructed of brick. The timber framing features a symmetrical arrangement with square panels, arch-braces in the upper angles, and diagonal cross-braces beneath the dormers and above the entrance, adding a decorative touch. The house has a two-unit plan, with end wall stacks that have diagonal flues. The central entrance is flanked by two-light casement windows. There are two gabled dormers that break the eaves line, which have renewed casement windows. The interior includes a small lobby at the foot of the central staircase, which has been extended by the addition of an outshut.
