Description
Barn Cottage is a small house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with some alterations. The right gable and part of the rear are timber framed with brick infill, while the left gable is constructed of flint with brick dressings. The front has been rebuilt in brick and render, which is whitewashed. The house has an old tiled roof with flanking brick chimneys and is one storey high with an attic, consisting of two bays. The ground floor features 20th-century wooden casements, which are irregular and have timber lintels, while the upper storey has paired casements in small gabled eaves-line dormers. There is a 20th-century door to the right, and a wing at the rear is partly weatherboarded.
