Felix Cottage , Box Tree And The Other Cottage

Felix Cottage, Box Tree, and The Other Cottage is a row of three cottages located in Princes Risborough, along Upper Icknield Way (Whiteleaf). The two cottages on the left date back to the 16th century, while the cottage on the right is from the late 18th to early 19th century. The 16th-century section features a timber frame with brick, plaster, and render infill, and is whitewashed on the left side. The ground floor of the left bay has been partly rebuilt using whitewashed flint and brick, while the right bay is also made of whitewashed flint and brick. The cottages have an old tile roof and brick chimneys located on the left and between the right bays.

The row is two storeys high, with the 16th-century part having an upper storey that jetties out at the front, supported by a moulded bressumer. The facade consists of three bays with barred wooden casements, including four 2-light windows on the first floor, larger 2-light windows on the ground floor of the right bays, and a 3-light window on the ground floor of the left. There are two board doors between the left bays and another door to the right, which has a segmental head. Inside, the cottages feature small curved braces supporting the central cross beams and tie beam, with another brace in the rear right-hand corner, along with slightly curved wind-braces.
