Description

Church Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th to early 18th century, with later alterations and extensions. It is timber-framed with diagonal bracing and brick infill, although the ground floor of the left bay has been rebuilt in flint with brick dressings. The roof is tiled, with a large, rebuilt brick chimney on the right side. The house has one storey and an attic, originally comprising two bays. It features 20th-century paired wooden casement windows, some in gabled eaves-line dormers. A 20th-century gabled brick porch shelters a 20th-century door in the centre of the front. Further 20th-century metal casements are located in the gable end facing the road. There are 20th-century lean-to additions and other extensions to the rear of the property.
