Description
Ivy Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century that has been altered over time. The exterior is refaced with flint and brick and is whitewashed, with some timber framing visible in the rear wing and weatherboarding on the upper part of the right gable. The roof is covered with old tiles, and there are brick chimneys located at the rear of the front wing and at the far end of the rear wing. The building has a T-plan and is one and a half storeys tall, consisting of three bays, with the left bay likely being a later addition. The narrow right bays feature small brick gables with 20th-century three-light leaded casement windows. There are four similar casements on the ground floor, all with segmental heads. A 20th-century door is positioned to the right of centre. Inside, the cottage reveals timber framing, with some rooms displaying chamfered spine beams.
