Description
Cob's Cottage is a 17th-century house with a timber frame and whitewashed render infill on the front, while the right gable features whitewashed brick infill. The left gable is covered in shingles, and the roof is made of old tiles. There is an external 17th-century brick chimney on the right, which has a moulded corbel, pilaster, offsets, and moulding at the base of the shaft, along with a later brick chimney in the center. The cottage has two storeys and two bays. The ground floor includes canted bay windows with gables, featuring late 19th-century four-light wooden casements. The upper storey has similar oriels with gables that break through the eaves, each supported by a single shaped wooden bracket from the 17th century. On the ground floor left, there is a single barred wooden window, and the central entrance has an old board door with a leaded board hood. A Phoenix fire insurance plaque is also present.
