Description
The Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It features a brick front with the rest constructed from brick and flint, topped with an old tiled roof and flanking brick chimneys. The building stands two storeys high with an attic and has two bays, characterized by dentil eaves. The windows are sash style, set in moulded box frames; the ground floor has 4-pane windows with segmental heads, while the first floor has 2-pane windows with wide glazing bars. A central old half-glazed door is topped with a moulded wooden cornice hood supported by shaped brackets. The gables contain attic casements, and the rear of the building is irregular in design.
