Description
The lychgate outside the Church of St Mary is a Grade II listed structure featuring an open timber framed superstructure supported by Cefn stone side walls. The roof is covered with stone slab roofing slates and has a ridge. Each side of the lychgate is framed with four panels, each topped with a trefoiled head. The moulded top plate extends at both ends and is supported by long curved braces that connect to low steps in the side walls. The gable apexes have simple framing, and there is a central tie beam truss with a pair of gates located below it, positioned centrally beneath the roof.
