Description
The Mount is a three-storey brick building constructed in Flemish bond, featuring a slated roof and part external gable brick stacks. The front elevation has three bays and includes a central entrance with a six-panelled door, which is set beneath a moulded timber hood supported by three pilasters and shallow brackets. Above the door is an overlight, and the windows are sixteen-paned sashes with painted brick wedge lintels. There is also a stone mullioned window in the cellar, which is now blocked, and a moulded stone stringcourse between the first and second floors.
On the west elevation, three twelve-pane sash windows are positioned between the projecting gable stacks, accompanied by a lead hopper and downpipe. The rear elevation features stained timber windows that have been replaced. There is a single-storey wing on the right, which has been rebuilt with a high parapet and is now used as a garage with rear access. This wing includes a twelve-pane Venetian window with a painted wedge lintel.
The forecourt is enclosed by iron railings that curve from the east extension to a wall on the west, with a central gate. The railings consist of a header rail and dog rails, with terminals above a centre rail.
