Description
The lychgate of St Mary's Church is a small structure featuring battered side walls made of local stonework. It has a slated roof supported by oak trusses, with rendered gables. The common tiebeams of the trusses rest on a crown beam, which is connected to the gable tiebeams using tusk tenons. At the front, there is a pair of light openwork oak gates topped with iron cresting. Additionally, a Welsh funerary inscription is carved on the outside face of the crown beam.
