Description
The building is a lofted rubble-stone multi-purpose farm structure from the 19th century, featuring rock-faced and tooled dressings, topped with a slate roof that has coped gables. The windows are fitted with small-pane iron-frame glazing above horizontal-sliding vents. On the left end, there is a doorway with a boarded door, followed by two windows with segmental heads, and then two alternating doorways and windows, with the right-hand doorway lacking a door. The loft includes four pitching eyes, two ventilation strips to the left of center, and a central segmental-headed window.
On the right gable end, there is a lower added loose box that has a single doorway and a window to its right, along with two ventilation strips in the gable end. The left gable end features a lean-to that is set back, which includes a wood-lintelled boarded door and flanking hopper windows.
The rear of the building has a continuous outshut constructed in two phases, marked by a central vertical joint, with the left side being the earlier section. To the right of this joint is an early 20th-century milking parlour, which has three metal-framed windows and two roof vents, while the left side features a window similar to those on the front. The end wall of the left side has a doorway with a flattened arch made of yellow brick. The building has not been inspected.
