Description
Penllyn Evangelical Free Church is a two-storey building with a three-bay front made of mottled brick, featuring classical details and a slate roof. It has a high parapet and a crowning pediment that includes an iron name board. The church showcases freestone dressings, including blocking courses and a stringcourse between the floors. The central section has Venetian windows with small pane glazing, architraves, and keystones. There are entrances at either end with modern doors and tall small-pane overlights, all set under arch bands with keystones.
To the left, there is a single-storey range with a gable above another Venetian window that has sash glazing. The right side is rendered and features three-light windows with cambered heads on the ground floor, similar to the left side. The rear has modern windows. The lower range has a splayed corner and a red brick left end wall with a stock brick chimney stack.
Inside, there is an important carved pulpit, and the main schoolroom is located on the first floor.
