Description
Coedrwg Isaf is a building featuring an original range constructed from roughly coursed boulder stone set on a massive boulder plinth, with a later addition made of roughly coursed granite rubble. The building has slate roofs. The entrance is located at the angle of the two ranges, leading into a cross-passage, while the rear doorway of the original range has been blocked. To the right of the entrance, there are casement windows on each floor that have been renewed. A small stair window in the gable wall retains its original pegged wood frame. The rear of the original range has two windows on each floor; the lower windows have been inserted or renewed, while the upper windows have been renewed in their original openings, which still show traces of the former diamond wood mullions. There is a gable end stack.
The later addition forms a cross wing to the original range and features casement windows of two and three lights on its inner wall, along with two-light casement windows and a six-pane sash window in the rear wall. The end walls have stacks.
Inside the original range, there is a queen post and strut collar truss roof, and remnants of a timber-framed partition can be found on the outer side of the cross passage. A winding staircase is located alongside the stack in the outer room of the original range.
