Description
The former village school is a single-storey building constructed from local slatey rubble masonry, topped with a slate roof. The west end of the building is apsidal, while the east end is reported to have been similar before the nearby cottages were built. The front features two windows, and there are two more in the apsidal end. A centrally located door at the apsidal end has a cambered arch made of local axe-dressed limestone. The timber windows include transoms and small pane glazing set in iron frames, with interlaced glazing bars at the heads. The door has been replaced and is narrower than the original opening. At the rear, there is a modern flat-roofed service extension.
