Description
The former village school, dating from the mid-19th century, is constructed of coursed rubblestone with stone dressings and features a plain tile roof with a moulded ashlar stack at the left end. The building is single-storey and has a two-window range, consisting of 2-light stone-mullion windows with diamond lattice glazing on the right and casement windows on the left of each window. To the right, there is a plank door, and all windows are topped with stone lintels. The front façade is supported by four stone buttresses and includes a stone cill band. On the right end, there is a tall triple-lancet window with lattice glazing, topped by a quatrefoil in pointed arch stonework. Another quatrefoil is located at the apex of the gable. The stonework features decorative bands, and there is a lean-to structure under a catslide roof at the rear.
