Description

This is a house, dating to around 1760. It is built of colourwashed ironstone with pantile roofs. The south front is two storeys high. A doorway is positioned to the left of centre, sheltered by a shallow reeded pediment supported by thin columns; the door itself was replaced in 1986. To either side of the doorway are 18th-century tripartite sash windows with glazing bars, and these are repeated on the first floor. A further bay to the right features a single sash window on each floor: the upper window is 18th century with glazing bars, while the lower is 19th century and also contains glazing bars. The roof is gabled, with an internal brick stack at the west gable end and a ridge stack positioned to the right of centre, both of brick construction. A rear wing contains an 18th-century three-light casement window on the ground floor and three matching windows on the first floor, all with glazing bars and set within segmental arches. Behind a 20th-century greenhouse is a plank door.
