Description

Manor House, originally known as Manor Farmhouse, is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, which has been altered internally in the 20th century. It is constructed of brick laid in Flemish bond, with roofs covered in pantiles, and one slope featuring late 20th-century concrete pantiles. The building was originally T-shaped, but the north half of the main range was demolished in the 18th century and replaced with an outshut. The stack at this point has been rebuilt as a partly external feature.

The house is two storeys high with attics. The main north-south range includes one blocked three-light ovolo moulded stone mullioned window on each floor, with the lower window situated beneath a moulded hood. The south gable features a five-light similar mullioned window, although the centre light is blocked. The remaining lights still have leaded glazing. There is also one three-light mullioned window on the first floor and a two-light window in the attic, both with moulded hoods.

On the south face of the west wing, there is an ironstone outshut on the ground floor beneath a sloping roof, with a two-light ovolo mullioned window above. The west gable of this wing has one blocked mullioned window on both the first and attic floors; the former has three lights while the latter has two. Additionally, there is an 18th-century sloping outshut on the north side featuring 20th-century casements. The rectangular partly external stack terminates in three diamond flues.
