Description

Ty-isaf-rhos, also known as Plas-yn-rhos, is a symmetrical two-storey house dating from the 19th century. It features two windows on the front, with an additional gabled bay that slightly advances to the left. The exterior is made of rendered masonry painted white, topped with a slate roof. The main section has limestone end-chimneys, while the additional bay has a brick end-chimney.

The main part of the house has 16-pane sash windows both above and below. The upper windows are distinctive, featuring Gothick pointed heads with interlaced glazing bars that extend through the eaves line and form gablets. Above the eaves, these windows are lead-clad. A modern porch is located at the front, accompanied by a modern low wall and gate leading to a small forecourt.

The additional bay on the left also has a 16-pane sash window above and below. Notably, to the right of the lower window's lintel, there is a mark indicating the position of a covered date-stone.

At the rear, the house includes a catslide extension over service additions, while part of the upper storey projects under a flat roof. The rear and side elevations display irregular fenestration, with many windows having been replaced with timber, steel, or uPVC. A small rear porch is situated at the west side.
