Description
Gwernigron Farmhouse is a two-storey building with three windows, featuring rough white-painted render on stonework. It has rusticated quoins, a string course, and window surrounds highlighted in black paint. The slate roof has coped gables at each end and large end chimney stacks that are also rendered and white painted. The string course is positioned at the level of the upper window sills.
The farmhouse has nine-pane hornless unequal-sash windows on the upper floor and 12-pane horned sash windows on the lower floor, along with a modern porch.
There is a later rear wing constructed in Flemish-bond brickwork, which includes two windows set at a raised level and a hipped slate roof with a brick chimney.
While not inspected, it is reported to have chamfered, wide fireplaces with timber bressummers, though somewhat altered. The hall features lozenge paving, and there are six-panel doors on both the ground and first floors. The attic includes ledged doors, an oak floor, and purlins, with some modern purlins on the west side. There is also a brick barrel-vaulted cellar on the east side.
