Talardy Hotel

The Talardy Hotel is an early to mid 19th century, late Georgian, two-storey building. It features whitewashed brick elevations with plinths, slate roofs, wide eaves, and brick chimney stacks. The main front has five windows and a central entrance, which has been altered by a modern porch. This entrance is flanked by advanced gabled bays that have an open-pediment treatment. The first floor has small pane sash windows, while the ground floor to the left includes a tripartite sash window.

The right side of the building also has five windows with similar gables at either end, mostly sash windows without glazing bars, and French windows in the centre of the ground floor. There are further ranges extending to the west, featuring a timber balustraded balcony over a broad bay. An advanced bay at the west end of the right side is gabled and retains a broad splayed and bracketed first floor oriel window with a cast-iron work window box holder.

To the rear, the north range of the service courtyard is set back to the right and extends further to the west. The south side displays similar details, with a projecting gable end to the right and a tall multipane stained glass staircase window.
