Description
The building is a cart-shed and stables located southwest of Llawr Cilan Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. It consists of two two-storey ranges made of random stone and covered with slate roofs, facing north and connected end-to-end, with the left range set back in relation to the right range.
The left range features three bays, including a wide cart-shed opening on the left with a flattened segmental arch made of stone voussoirs. There are two doorways with flat heads and stone lintels in the center and to the right, with split doors on the former and a boarded door on the latter. The upper storey contains three 2-light wooden openings with boarded shutters, aligned with the openings below. The east gable end has a first-floor doorway, likely leading to a granary, which is accessed by a flight of external stone steps with a metal handrail. The rear of this range is blank.
The right range has its front wall set back at the left bay, which contains a cart-shed opening with a segmental arch of stone voussoirs and a drip mould, now converted into a garage with a metal door. Above this is a boarded loft hatch. To the right, the openings have been modified, resulting in two wide openings with timber lintels leading to storage bays. There is also a small window with a timber lintel and timber struts at the right end. The upper storey features a 20th-century metal-framed window with an opening ventilator on the left and a boarded loft hatch on the right.
Access to the interior was not available at the time of inspection.
