Description
The building is a cart-shed with a granary and pig-sties located at Llawr Llan, dating from the 19th century. It features rubble stone side walls with infilled end walls and a low-pitched slate roof. On the west side, there are lean-to pig-sties. The east side is windowless and has squared cornerstones. The north end includes corrugated-iron gates leading to the cart-shed and a flight of ten outside stone steps on the left that ascend to a loft floor clad in corrugated iron, with a door to the left. These steps are positioned at an angle to the rear of a monopitch-roofed structure that extends the pig-sty lean-to southward. The north end is weatherboarded.
The lean-to on the west side has three doors leading to the pig-sties, which have walled yards in front. The monopitch-roofed structure at the right end is an addition and has one door. The loft consists of two bays with timber-framing on the end walls, featuring tie-beam construction at the lower end, while the upper end has a collar and a broad centre opening, suggesting that the current loft door on the right may not be original. The building also has bolted trusses and overlapping purlins.
