Description

Pentre-coch Farmhouse is a two-storey, three-window farmhouse built in axe-dressed rubble masonry, facing east towards the road. It features a slate roof with generous eaves, a red tile ridge, and two end-chimneys made of similar masonry, each with three diagonally placed separate brick shafts.

The front elevation includes horned 12-pane sash windows that have a black-painted angle bead on the sides and top, with thin sills. There are no visible arches or lintels above the windows, giving the heads a common stonework appearance. The central door, which has been restored, is vertically boarded and topped with a batswing fanlight. To the left gable, there is one small window, while the right gable has two restored windows with brick arches.

At the rear, on the left side, there is a stone wing with a catslide extension that follows the main rear slope of the roof. This wing has two restored windows on its north side and a door in an additional extension. To the right of this wing is a later brick gabled rear wing featuring a generous verge, a brick end-chimney, a door, a window, and a dormer on the south side. Additionally, there is an attached stone outbuilding.

The farmhouse has a two-unit symmetrical plan with central stairs located at the rear and has been enlarged at the back.
