Description
Tir-hwch Farmhouse is a two-storey, two-window farmhouse dating from the 18th century. It is positioned at right angles to the road and constructed from local axe-dressed limestone, topped with a slate roof and tile ridge. At the rear, there is a full-height wing. The main range and the rear wing feature end chimneys made of brickwork.
The front elevation has nine-pane unequal-sash windows on the first storey and 12-pane sash windows on the ground storey, both adorned with segmental stone arches. The windows are set in exposed frames. The front door includes a large over-light and has a similar arch above it. While the front fenestration is symmetrical, it is slightly offset to the left to provide more space at the right chimney.
